DIAGNOSIS AND TEST SYSTEMS FOR THE AIRCRAFT MISSILES AND TORPEDOES

The State Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch" has developed the "Ingul-A", "Trubezh-A", "Gurt-M" , AKIPS systems of the aircraft missiles and torpedoes automated monitoring and diagnosis used successfully in more than 40 countries of the world.

"Ingul-A", "Trubezh-A"

The "Ingul-A", "Trubezh-A" systems are designed for pre-launch preparation for operation and test of the guided air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles and also corrected air bombs. They are an integral part of the aviation armament systems, including aircrafts, aircraft missiles and ground-based support facilities. The assigned systems service life depending on climatic conditions of operation is from 5 to 10 years.

The systems provide:

  •   the missile maintenance and preparation for operation at the pre-launch preparation stations in air regiments;

  •   the missile maintenance at depots and bases;

  •   the missile outgoing inspection at manufacturing enterprises and repair plants.

 The systems include the automatic checkout equipment (AKPA) and maintenance means (SÒÎ).

AKPA is designed for the missile parameters (from 50 to 400 parameters) automatic test and represents a complex data-measuring system, built on the basis of analogue computers used in "Ingul-A" and digital computers used in "Trubezh-A".

SÒÎ are designed for the missile maintenance and preparation for operation at the pre-launch preparation stations in air regiments and divided into general means (lorries, crane trucks, diesel-generator sets, tents, compressor stations, etc) and specialized SÒÎ designed for every type of missiles or missile types group (technological transport trolleys, handling equipment, devices, special tools, etc).

"Gurt-M"

Nowadays State Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch" is supplying the "Gurt-M" system instead of the "Gurt" system which had been produced since 1984 and delivered to more than 40 countries of the world.

The "Gurt-M" system is designed for pre-launch preparation for operation and test of the guided air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles and also corrected air bombs (according to the picture). They are an integral part of the aviation armament systems, including aircrafts, aircraft missiles and ground-based support facilities. The assigned system service life is 10 years.

The system provides:

  •   the missile maintenance and preparation for operation at the pre-launch preparation stations in air regiments;

  •   the missile maintenance at depots and bases;

  •   the missile outgoing inspection at manufacturing enterprises and repair plants;

  •   failure diagnosis of missiles by means of diagnostic equipment sets while repairing the missiles;

  •   forecasting of missiles and test equipment technical state while prolonging their service life.

 The system includes the automatic checkout equipment (AKPA) and maintenance means (SÒÎ).

AKPA is designed for the missile parameters (from 50 to 400 parameters) automatic test and represents a complex data-measuring system, built on the basis of modern industrial computer.

SÒÎ are designed for the missile maintenance and preparation for operation at the pre-launch preparation stations in air regiments and divided into general means (lorries, crane trucks, diesel-generator sets, tents, compressor stations, etc) and specialized SÒÎ designed for every missile type or missile types group (technological transport trolleys, handling equipment, devices, special tools, etc).

The advantages of the "Gurt-M" system:
- overall and weight performances of ÀÊPÀ are reduced;
- characteristics of operational reliability are improved, the mean time between failures is twice increased;
- up-to-date methods of visualization and documenting of the test results are introduced. The usage of the modern industrial computer has allowed documenting of the results in various languages, and also correcting of the check routines while operating;
- the long-term storage of results of missiles testing for all the operation period is assured that allows forecasting their technical state while prolonging their service life;
- in ÀÊPÀ6.2Ì the power supply systems created on the basis of the static transducers of heightened comfort (efficient, noiseless operation, convenient in maintenance) are applied;
- diagnostic routines and equipment are included into the structure of some specialized ÀÊPÀ that allow the failure pinpointing in the missiles, and so using of the "Gurt-M" system for missiles repairing. Modernization of ÀÊPÀ for ensuring of the failure diagnosis of other missiles is also possible.

AKIPS

The automatic check-test mobile stations: AKIPS-1Ý, AKIPS -3.2, AKIPS -3.2Ì, AKIPS -4Ó, AKIPS -15, AKIPS -125 are designed for the pre-launch preparation of antisubmarine missiles and torpedoes use.

The AKIPS stations provides:

  •   the anti-submarine missiles and torpedoes maintenance and pre-launch preparation for use at maintenance positions, bases and arsenals;

  •   the outgoing inspection of missiles and torpedoes and their components self-contained test (up to 500 parameters) at manufacturing enterprises and repair plants.

The AKIPS stations represent the complex data-measuring systems built on the basis of specialized digital computers.

The assigned service life of the AKPA, AKIPS and specialized SÒÎ is determined depending on climatic conditions of operation and is 5-10 years. In case the assigned service life of the systems operation is expired, the equipped missiles test safety and reliability are not guaranteed. To support the further operation of missiles it is necessary either to manufacture and deliver to organizations which use the missiles the new AKPA and specialized SÒÎ prototypes or to increase their operation life by means of their service life extension.

On the basis of great experience in the field of the systems manufacturing and operation the State Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch", as a developer, offers to carry out works on the post-warranty service:

  •   modernization, service life extension to 15-30 years of missile test systems used in the existing and perspective aircrafts such as MiG-21-93, MiG-29K, MiG-29CM, Su-27K, ÑU-30 etc, and torpedoes;

  •   reduction of the annual maintenance extent due to a new maintenance system introduction;

  •   test equipment repair and its modernization (change-over to an up-to-date element base);

  •   determination of the required number and supply of spare parts and in-line documentation for post-warranty period.
