PURPOSE

High manoeuvrable guided air-to-air missile of close air combat with infrared homing head, noncontact radar target sensor in millimetric range and thrust-vectoring engine is intended for interception and destruction of high manoeuvrable means of air attack and reconnaissance during assault:

- at any time of day or night;
- at the targets front and aft hemisphere; 
- against ground, sky and water surface backgrounds;
- under ordinary and adverse weather conditions;
- with active informational and manoeuvrable counteraction of the enemy.

The missile is intended for use in armament systems of fighters, front bombers and low-flying attack aircrafts.
