PURPOSE
“Arbalet-K” short range shipborne air-defense missile system is intended to destroy jet, propjet and propeller-driven aircrafts and helicopters at head-on and pursuit courses under conditions of a target direct visibility with the use of air-defense guided missiles of “Igla” type.
The “Arbalet-K” system consists of:
- base with actuators;
- control panel;
- guidance device and thermal imager;
- traverse platform;
- two launching units with two air-defense missiles of “Igla” type, mounted on each unit;
- spares and accessories kit;
- operational documentation set.
